Please feel free to contact us at any time by email, phone or letter, and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Placing an Order

Once you have completed the A Few Simple Steps order process and payment has been received, we will send you an email confirming that we have received your order. If there is any problem with the order or any clarification is required, we will email you within 48 hours. As each product is made specifically for your order and is therefore unique, payment is required at the time the order is placed.

Pricing, Postage and Packing

All prices quoted include VAT at the current rate. Postage and Packing is charged separately at the rates shown below:

For a limited period, postage and packing will be FREE for deliveries to UK addresses.

Unfortunately, we are not currently able to deliver outside Europe because of postal insurance and delivery tracking problems.

Products

The actual fabric colours may not match exactly with those displayed on your computer monitor, due to colour setting and calibration variances. If the fabric colour is very important to you, coodgycoodgycoo will be happy to send you a fabric swatch in the post prior to you placing an order. Just contact us with your request and let us know which colours you are interested in.

The size of each motif, letter and number varies between 15cm and 22cm for both the width and height, depending on the motif chosen. The motifs may vary slightly from the images shown on the Products page.

For the medium blankets, names consisting of 7 or fewer letters will be appliquéd in a straight line. Names consisting of more than 7 letters will be appliquéd in an arch;  the steepness of the arch will depend on the number of letters. For the Christmas present sacks, names consisting of 6 or fewer letters will be appliqued in a straight line. Names consisting of 7 to 9 letters will be appliqued in an arch as before. Unfortunately, names consisting of more than 9 letters cannot be accommodated on a Christmas present sack.

All measurements provided on this website for the motifs, letters, numbers and products are approximate. This is because each component is hand cut and therefore minor size variations will occur.

Care Instructions

Our blankets are made from 100% polyester, anti-pil fleece fabric. The outer shell of our Christmas sacks is made from the same fleece fabric;  the inner lining is made from polyester/cotton. Please ensure that you follow these care instructions:

  • Wash at 40°C
  • Do not bleach
  • Do not iron
  • Tumble dry on a cool setting only
  • Wash similar colours together
  • Keep away from fire

Payment

We accept all major credit and debit cards, via Google Checkout and PayPal payments. Cheques are also accepted;  please make them payable to “coodgycoodgycoo” and send them to the following address after you have placed your order online:

If you are paying by cheque, please include the following information:

  • Order number from this website, or a brief description of the product ordered (colour, name, motif etc.)
  • Date of order
  • Contact name, address and telephone number

Delivery

Once cleared payment has been received, the product making process will begin. Each product is made specifically for each order; despatch will be within 28 days of payment although the average delivery time is within 2-3 weeks. In the unlikely event that the product will take longer than 28 days, due to circumstances outside of our control, you will be contacted immediately via email or telephone and given the option to cancel.

A confirmation email will be sent as soon as the despatch is made. Each blanket is tied with satin ribbon and delivered in a calico drawstring bag with the coodgycoodgycoo label on the front. Each Christmas sack is tied with satin ribbon only. These are then sealed in a clear plastic bag and packaged in a hardwearing, waterproof postage bag.

Delivery within the UK will be by Royal Mail First Class post and the parcel will need to be signed for. Delivery outside of the UK will be via Royal Mail Airmail and the parcel will need to be signed for.

We pride ourselves on ensuring that every product is made according to our very high specifications and is packaged securely. However, if the product is damaged on arrival as a result of damage to the packaging, please contact us immediately. Do not throw away the product or the packaging, as we will not be able to resolve the situation if this is the case. If any damage is obvious before the packaging is opened, please ensure that the delivery driver records this before you sign for the delivery.

In the unlikely event that the product doesn't arrive within 10 working days of the despatch date, please contact us and we will follow this up with Royal Mail. If the parcel cannot be found, the product will be re-made and re-despatched. No refund will be offered. Note that Royal Mail doesn't consider a parcel to be lost until 21 working days have passed.

We will deliver the product to the address entered at the time of ordering. We will not be liable if any of the details you have provided us with prove to be incorrect. If you require the product to be sent to an alternative address, this can be done - just add this to the “Additional Comments” section during the ordering process.

Amending Your Order

It is really important to ensure that all names and dates entered and the colours of fabric that are chosen are correct at the time of order placement. Should you realise that a mistake has been made, please contact us immediately and every effort will be made to accommodate your change. However an additional charge may be incurred, up to 100% of the original cost, if we have started to make your product.

The blanket goes through 3 separate making stages:

  1. Cut out the front, back, letters and/or motif
  2. Make the back of the blanket
  3. Personalise the front of the blanket and attach it to the back

If the blanket is at stage 1 or 2, a change to the name, date, motif or fabric colours can be accommodated for a flat £15.00 charge. This will be invoiced to you separately and work will only continue once payment for this extra charge has been received.

However, if the blanket is at stage 3, it will not be possible to make any changes;  the blanket will need to be re-ordered and paid for again.

The Christmas Sack goes through 4 separate making stages:

  1. Cut out the outer shell, inner lining, motif and letters
  2. Make the inner shell
  3. Personalise the outer shell
  4. Attach the inner shell to the outer shell and add the drawstring cord

If the Christmas Sack is at stage 1 or 2, a change to the name or motif can be accommodated for a flat £15.00 charge. This will be invoiced to you separately and work will only continue once payment for this extra charge has been received.

However, if the sack is at stage 3 or 4, it will not be possible to make any changes; the sack will need to be re-ordered and paid for again.

Cancelling an Order

By law, we do not have to offer a cancellation/refund policy as all products are personalised and made specifically for your order. However, depending on the making stage that the product has reached (see the separate stages shown in the “Amending Your Order” section above), we are happy to offer the following cancellation/refund policy:

  • Blanket or Christmas Sack is pre-stage 1 - full refund offered
  • Blanket or Christmas Sack is at stage 1 or 2 - partial refund offered; cost of the order minus a £15.00 charge
  • Blanket is at stage 3 or Christmas Sack is at stage 3 or 4 - no refund offered

Please contact us as soon as possible and we will let you know which of these applies.

Returns

Every product is lovingly made to order, with beautiful attention to detail. We have made every effort to ensure that the website is a true reflection of our beautiful blankets and sacks, from the softness of the fabric to the way that they are packaged.

We hope that you will be absolutely thrilled with your blanket or sack, but in the unlikely event that you aren't, please contact us within 3 working days of the date that you received the delivery and provide the following information:

  • Date of order
  • Order number from this website, or a brief description of the product ordered (colour, name, motif etc.)
  • Contact name, address and telephone number
  • Reason that you are unhappy

We will then contact you to discuss the problem and hopefully find a solution.

Please note that coodgycoodgycoo cannot accept responsibility for customer mistakes made during the ordering process, or if the product has not been laundered in the correct manner as specified on the care label.

In the unlikely event that the product needs to be returned to us, it must be in its original packaging and not have been used or washed. Unfortunately, we cannot be liable for any returns that don't arrive back with us or are damaged on arrival at coodgycoodgycoo.

Privacy Policy

We will request an email address and other contact details from you when placing your order. This email address will be used to send an acknowledgement of your order, and to let you know when your product has been despatched (see the “Delivery” section above).

If you consent to your email address being retained, by ticking the box during the ordering process, we will send you a occasional coodgycoodgycoo newsletter. These will keep you informed about what is happening at coodgycoodgycoo, including any new colours or designs that we may introduce in the future. These messages will be sent no more often than once a month, and you can opt out of receiving them at any time by replying to the message.

We will not pass any of your details on to any third party.

If you pay using a credit or debit card, via Google Checkout or PayPal, then your credit card or bank account details are only retained and used by those payment companies. We do not have any access to your card or bank details. Please see Google Checkout or PayPal's own privacy policies for information on how they may retain and use your details.

This website and the online ordering process does not collect or retain any personally identifying information regarding yourself (other than that which you enter), or your computer. The ordering process requires a cookie to be set on your computer;  this is a small piece of information which is used to track the options that you have selected at each stage. In accordance with the ICO guidance on cookies (commonly known as the “EU Cookie Directive”) in force from May 2011, this cookie is only used during ordering and is discarded when the process is complete. This is 'strictly necessary for the use of a service requested by the user', and therefore your consent to use these cookies is implied when you start the ordering process. No other part of our website uses cookies, and our website or emails do not use any third party "web beacons" or other tracking methods.
